The Vanderbilt Mass Spectrometry Research Center is one of the most well-equipped academic research centers in the world, with more than 40 state-of-the-art mass spectrometers and ancillary equipment supporting cutting-edge proteomics, metabolomics, and imaging mass spectrometry workflows. Our comprehensive instrumentation suite enables high-resolution molecular characterization across scales, from single cells to whole tissues. Complementing these platforms, the center has a number of orthogonal technologies for multi-omics and spatial biology studies—including highly multiplexed immunofluorescence and advanced spatial transcriptomics systems—to empower integrated, multimodal analyses of complex biological systems.
