Early arriving IGP students interested in performing summer research are responsible for contacting the faculty and making all arrangements themselves. This is a paid position that typically lasts about 6-10 weeks, but the start date and end date are to be determined with the faculty member. Summer work is not part of the IGP. The costs associated with hosting early arriving students will be the responsibility of the host labs, so it is important that you discuss these details with your host faculty member.
The Vanderbilt Diabetes Center has funding for students interested in doing research in an affiliated diabetes research lab prior to matriculation to the IGP or QCB programs. For more information you can contact Dr. Richard O'Brien.
Further information will be provided to you in your onboarding newsletters and through emails from the IGP team in late spring.
Students interested in undergraduate summer research opportunities should visit the Vanderbilt Summer Science Academy website.
