Distribution
Cryopreserved mouse strains can be rederived at Vanderbilt or cryostocks can be shipped to other facilities for rederivation. To request a mouse line, simply click on the “Request this mouse line” button on the strain page, which will generate an email to the VCMR manager.
For non-Vanderbilt academic investigators, an MTA must be completed through MTAShare. Requests from non-academic (commercial) entities are subject to review by the Vanderbilt Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization (CTTC).
Please note that a FedEx or other courier account number is required for cryopreserved sperm and embryo shipment. The shipping container must be returned to VCMR within one week of receipt. Live animal shipment is managed by the Vanderbilt Division of Animal Care (DAC), which can provide health certificates upon request.
Rederivation or shipment of cryostocks requires a service request through iLab. More information for external users of iLab can be found by clicking this link.
