Established in 1951, VUSM’s Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences offers top-ranked speech pathology and audiology clinical degree programs.
The students in our clinical programs complete a range of practicum experiences in the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center, which houses outpatient service delivery programs for audiology, deaf education speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and otolaryngology.
With more than 70,000 patient visits per year, 11 audiology and speech-language pathology clinics, and on-site pre-schools for children with hearing loss and children with autism, graduate students have access to all aspects of clinical experience (identification, assessment, and management) provided to patients across the life span.
